About the Jewelry:
Some pieces are limited quantities and some are unique, therefore one of a kind. I do my best to update the website immediately when items are sold. If there is an item that you ordered and I no longer have it in stock or am unable to re-create it, I will notify you immediately. I can issue a refund or offer you an alternative.

I use 14k gold, 22k gold, 24k gold, sterling silver and fine silver.  I do not use glass, plastic, base metals, plated, vermeil, etc.  In the description of each piece of jewelry, I identify which type of metal and what kind of stone is used.

Many of the pieces are put together with cold connections by wrapping wire back on itself. Wire wrapping is not soldered but is very secure. The wrapping adds beauty and strength to the piece. You should have no concerns that the wire will unfurl and loosen.

Each piece was designed and constructed by me, and in some cases the components were also handcrafted by me. Handcrafting requires tools that occasionally will leave tool marks on the metal. This should be considered part of the piece’s beauty and charm. All of the stones/gems I use were sold to me as genuine.  Care is taken to use reputable dealers when I purchase stones.  When available I will only purchase natural pieces that have not been heated or treated in anyway.  Sometimes stones are in limited quantities; therefore, please allow for some variations.

Before I consider a bracelet, necklace or anklet complete, I connect my signature stone: a garnet and or a handmade logo charm.

Pricing:
Some pieces took a great deal of time to complete while others were not as time consuming. Prices are not based on the time invested, rather on how much it cost me to make the piece. You really cannot put a price on time and occasionally errors occur that cause a project to take longer; so, my prices are based on my costs. I try to find the best prices available for the precious metals and other materials so that those savings can be passed on to you.

Fine Silver and Gold Metal Clay:
For many of my pieces I use Precious Metal Clay (PMC®) Silver and Gold. I often combine the two products for a two-tone effect.

PMC® Silver is fine particles of pure silver in a binder that makes it very much like Play-doh®. PMC® Gold is 22k gold particles with fine silver alloy. PMC® Gold is also combined with a binder to make it pliable and workable.

Each piece is constructed, dried, cleaned and then kiln fired at 1650° for two hours. At that temperature the binder is incinerated and the metal particles fuse together. What is left behind is pure, precious metal. The silver is 99.9% pure, also known as fine silver, and the gold is 22k gold, the remaining alloy is fine silver. The gold will have a color very similar to 18k gold.

What is fine silver?
Fine silver has more silver content than sterling and is a softer metal than sterling; however, the PMC® process adds strength to the product. With sterling, alloys (typically copper) ware added to give it strength. Sterling silver is subject to tarnishing. Fine silver is 99.9% pure and has no alloys to tarnish.

Guarantee:
I really want you to be happy with your piece and I will make every effort to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied you can return your purchase 14 days, providing it is in the same condition as it was when I shipped it to you, (excluding regular wear). If for any reason an item is damaged during shipping, please contact me within 72 hours of receipt to work out arrangements for return and replacement.

Rings with Stones and Prongs:
Any piece that has a stone set in prongs should be checked periodically. Although care is taken to harden the prongs and set them as close to the stone as possible, with rough wear it is possible that the prongs could loosen. Please be conscientious about wearing the piece of jewelry you purchased, as not every piece can handle rough wear (i.e. don’t garden with your rings on). You should check the ring periodically to ensure the stone is not loose otherwise YOU COULD LOSE THE STONE. I cannot guarantee that you won’t lose the stone due to rough wear.

To check a stone, (if it’s not obviously loose), hold the ring to your ear, ensure it’s not tangled in your hair and lightly tap on the ring shank. If you hear the stone rattle IT’S LOOSE. Contact me immediately
